check out these resources we feature! 

 

Biographies: Materials for individuals and families..  Our staff will make suggestions for other sources as well.

Books: Meeker County Histories, area histories, cemetery records, Meeker County School records.  Many Annuals from Litchfield High School.

Churches: Various anniversary booklets, histories and information on early members, and some photos.

GAR: Records of Civil War Veterans, Civil war writings.

Maps: Maps and plat books from several different years, the earliest being 1874. 

Military Records: Minnesota Military roster through WWI.

Newspapers: Most Litchfield newspapers dating back to 1870.  The Independent Review also has copies available, and the Litchfield Public Library has microfilmed copies.

Obituaries: An index to help find over 27,500 obituaries of Meeker County Residents.

Oral Histories: Interviews with local residents describing the early days in Meeker County.

Photographs: Large collection of photographs, some still needing identification.
